It goes into an alternative to Psychotherapy called Logotherapy. Logotherapy is focused on helping others find their whys. The book mentioned a Logotherapist asking a patient, at the start of their session, why don't you commit suicide? From there, they help the person find reasons to live.
This something I've believed from a young age, that life has no real purpose. We must create our own purpose, or others will use us to accomplish theirs. Moving through life counter your purpose or not knowing your why makes everything more complicated than it needs to be.
